Recent data from Lands of America shows $1 billion in farms, ranches and other land for sale in the Gateway State. This represents a total of 240,321 acres of Missouri land for sale. The most expensive piece of land listed for sale on Lands of America recently was $14 million, although the median price for land for sale in Missouri was $336,459. The average price of land advertised for sale in Missouri was $526,772. There was 7,801 acres of sold land in Missouri recorded in March 2018 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a three percent increase in sales activity over the previous month. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $28.4 million. The Show-Me State might as well be the Show-Off State when it comes to outdoor recreation. Missouri's sprawling Mark Twain National Forest has 1.4 million acres of land open to public hunting, in addition to numerous state conservation areas as well as private land available to hunt.
